Are there any hidden costs in your pricing?
The price you see is the total price you pay once your service is fully set up and operational. However, there are a few unavoidable, one-off setup fees, which include:
- Number Porting Fee: This is a fee charged by your current phone provider to transfer your phone numbers to us. The cost varies depending on your provider, but we’ll inform you of the exact amount. As a guide, porting a single number costs £20 (per number) and porting a range of numbers costs £100.
- Teams Phone License: Your Microsoft 365 and Teams subscription must include a Microsoft Teams Phone License. If it doesn’t, you’ll need to purchase one for each user to enable this feature.
The only other costs are variable and depend on your calling requirements. Calls to shared cost numbers, premium rate numbers, or international destinations are not included in your plan. These calls will be charged per minute based on our standard rate card for such calls.
What's included with free setup?
We will handle all the technical setup required to enable Microsoft Teams Phone, ensuring it meets your business’s functional needs. Note: Setting up an auto attendant and/or setting up call queues may involve one-off additional costs. Please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements.
Additionally, we will manage the entire process of porting your numbers and ensure the service is fully operational upon completion.
Rest assured, we will work closely with you to fully understand your needs upfront, so everything is clear and agreed upon before you begin. You’ll know exactly what to expect every step of the way.
How long do I have to wait until I can use Teams Phone?
You can start using Teams Phone immediately if all the pre-requisites are in place. We’ll provide you with temporary numbers so you can familiarise yourself with the system, test its functionality, and ensure everything works smoothly. This preparation ensures that you and your team are fully ready for the go-live day.
When you’re ready, we’ll coordinate with your current provider to arrange a port date for transferring your business numbers to Teams. The porting process typically takes around two weeks, assuming all the details are available from your existing supplier.
You’ll be notified of the porting date and time well in advance to help you plan. If the proposed date isn’t convenient, you’ll have the option to request a reschedule.
Can I still use a desk phone if I really want to?
Yes, Teams Phone supports a range of certified devices that provide a seamless and native calling experience. We will be happy to recommend devices based on your requirements.
Is there any training on how to use Teams Phone included?
Microsoft Teams offers an excellent library of bitesize “how-to” videos that you and your team can easily access. The Teams user interface is highly intuitive and straightforward, so we’re confident you won’t require extensive training to get started.
However, if you’re ever unsure about a particular feature, our support team will be more than happy to guide you through it with a “show and tell” approach to ensure you’re fully comfortable using the platform.
What calls are included in my calling minutes?
- Per User Minutes: These are allocated on a per-user basis but pooled together for all users. For example, if your plan offers 1,000 minutes per user and you have five users, you have a total of 5,000 shared minutes. If one user consumes 4,500 minutes and another uses 500 minutes, you’re still within your plan, and no extra charges will apply.
Inclusive Minutes Exceptions: Inclusive minutes cover calls to UK mainland geographic and mobile numbers. However, calls to shared cost numbers (08*), premium rate numbers (09*), directory services (118*), or international destinations are not included and will be charged separately.
What happens if I need to make a change to Teams Phone?
If you need to make any changes to your Teams Phone service, our managed services team will handle everything for you. Simply let us know what you need, and we’ll take care of it.
