This Christmas, our team came together to support SCRATCH, a Southampton-based charity dedicated to fighting local poverty and helping families in crisis across Hampshire.
As part of their annual Christmas Complete campaign, SCRATCH provides gift parcels to children and young people who might otherwise go without at Christmas. This incredible initiative ensures that families experiencing hardship can still enjoy the magic of the festive season.
Coming Together for Local Children
Callroute donated 16 gifts, with a total value of £160, all personally chosen and purchased through staff and company donations. Our team selected a diverse range of gifts to support children of all genders and ages, from toddlers to teenagers, ensuring that every parcel has something special inside.
Every item was chosen with intention, whether inspired by what we loved growing up, by items in high demand from the charity, or through a personal connection to cherished items, giving each child something meaningful to unwrap on Christmas morning.
Why SCRATCH?
SCRATCH has been supporting families across Southampton for more than 25 years. Their mission to alleviate the effects of poverty and hardship align closely with Callroute’s values. As a charity local to our offices, and with a connection to our staff, it was a lovely way to donate to those in need in our local area.
Their Christmas Complete project distributes thousands of wrapped gifts to children who might otherwise wake up to nothing on Christmas Day. With demand rising each year, support from local organisations like Callroute helps SCRATCH reach every family referred to the scheme.
While our contribution is just one part of a much wider community effort, we’re proud to help bring a little extra magic to families who need it most this Christmas.
