Your Questions, Answered
A business relationship is built on trust and transparency. Here is what you need to know before signing up.
Is your service Direct Routing or Operator Connect?
The service advertised is based on Direct Routing. Direct routing offers superior flexibility and is better suited for enterprises with complex environments.
What's included with the service set-up?
We will handle all the technical setup required to enable Microsoft Teams Phone, ensuring it meets your business’s functional needs. Note: Setting up an auto attendant and/or setting up call queues may involve one-off additional costs. Please get in touch with us to discuss your requirements.
Additionally, we will manage the entire process of porting your numbers and ensure the service is fully operational upon completion.
Rest assured, we will work closely with you to fully understand your needs upfront, so everything is clear and agreed upon before you begin. You’ll know exactly what to expect every step of the way.
How do I bring my own carrier?
We already support connections with over 30 carriers worldwide, so your carrier may be ready to go out of the box. You can explore the list of carriers we currently support.
If your carrier isn’t on the list, we can add them quickly with your help. Once testing is complete, you’ll be able to connect your existing SIP trunks to Callroute and start using the service without disruption.
What countries do you support calling in?
We support the UK and selected international markets for complete PSTN replacement services.
Note: Availability of services in international regions is subject to local regulatory compliance. Many countries require end users to provide evidence of a local address in the region or province where the telephone number is allocated.
We also support a global bring-your-own-carrier (BYOC) model. If you require PSTN replacement services in your home country, you can connect your local carrier to our platform instead.
What devices can I connect with UC Connect?
You can connect generic SIP phones to Callroute using the SIP phone registration service, or integrate PBXs and contact centres by building SIP trunks. All of this can be managed through the Callroute portal as a simple self-service process.
Note: SIP phone registration is not intended for general use by Teams users. It is designed for connecting specific endpoints such as lobby phones, lift phones, or door entry systems. For everyday use with Microsoft Teams, we recommend a certified Teams phone for the best experience.
Can I use your self-service portal with my existing Teams Phone service?
Yes. You can optionally use our number inventory and user management features with your existing Teams Phone service.
Please note that this will incur an additional cost. Please refer to Orto.
