Callroute has released a major update introducing Microsoft Teams delta sync, upgraded reporting, and new roles-based access scopes. These features are designed to cut admin time, deliver faster insights, and strengthen governance for IT teams running Microsoft 365 at scale.

Microsoft Teams delta sync

Synchronising with a connected Microsoft tenant has traditionally been slow and resource-heavy, especially for tenants with 500+ users.

With delta sync, Microsoft issues a token at the end of each synchronisation. On the next sync, Callroute sends this token back, and Microsoft responds only with the changes since the last sync.

For large organisations, this means a sync that once took 30 minutes for 15,000 users can now complete in seconds. IT admins can expect:

  • Rapid updates without disruption
  • Far lower compute demand during syncs
  • More scalable migrations and day-to-day management

Reporting that works faster and smarter

Reporting has been rebuilt for speed and clarity.

Reporting Improvements
  • Faster load times — no more waiting for large reports
  • New filters — analyse call data by dialled country
  • Improved charts — plot results by destination country for instant visibility

This upgrade is ideal for IT leaders and finance teams who need to spot trends, monitor global calling activity, and make informed optimisation decisions quickly.

Roles-based access with new scopes

Callroute now gives administrators finer control over who can do what with a set of new scopes:

  • Number Assign — allocate phone numbers
  • Persona Assign — apply or migrate personas
  • User Synchronise — initiate syncs (all modes or specific modes like Entra ID Groups, Teams-only, or Voice-only)

For enterprises with multiple admin teams, this means more secure delegation, reduced risk of over-permission, and the ability to align roles with responsibilities.

Further enhancements

Other improvements add efficiency and visibility for larger environments, including bulk user provisioning via CSV, Task Manager detail, and Auto Provisioning updates. Read more.
