Secure By Design

Security is built into Callroute at every layer. Access is protected through secure authentication, role-based permissions and multi-factor authentication (MFA), with optional Single Sign-On (SSO) via Microsoft 365..

When integrated with Microsoft, Callroute uses a secure admin consent flow via Microsoft 365 / Entra ID. Microsoft remains the system of record, and access can be revoked at any time.

All changes are fully audited, giving clear visibility into what changed, when and by who — supporting governance and compliance without adding operational complexity.

Role-based access control (RBAC)

Callroute includes role-based access control so you can decide exactly who can manage phone numbers and provisioning.

Assign permissions based on responsibility — from read-only access to full control — helping prevent accidental changes and reducing operational risk.

Combined with audit history, RBAC supports strong governance and accountability across teams, customers and regions.

Enhanced Granular RBAC (GRBAC)

Enhanced RBAC adds an additional layer of control by restricting what admins can see — not just what they can do.

You can hide Microsoft Teams users and phone numbers from admins who don’t need access to them.

For example, a North America admin will only see North American users and numbers, not Europe.

This improves security, reduces operational risk, and simplifies administration in multi-region or multi-team environments.

Compliance & Auditability

Callroute provides full audit visibility across number management and provisioning activity. Every change is logged so you can see what changed, when it changed, and who made the change.

This supports stronger governance, easier troubleshooting, and improved compliance — particularly in multi-admin, multi-region environments where control and accountability matter.

Manage Teams Users With Callroute

Callroute provides a central place to manage Microsoft Teams users and numbers — even when Callroute isn’t in the call path.

This includes Teams number types such as Calling Plans, Operator Connect and Direct Routing, with users and assignments synced from Microsoft for visibility and control.

Assign numbers directly to Teams users in a couple of clicks, or manage large estates using bulk export/import via CSV.

You can also automate number assignment using custom rules based on Entra ID attributes such as group membership, location or role.

Callroute also simplifies Teams policy management through Policy Packs (personas), allowing you to apply the right policies to the right users quickly and consistently at scale.
