What do the User states mean in Microsoft Teams

When you view the list of Users within the Microsoft Teams Service, each User has a status.

Each User that you can configure to use Callroute for Microsoft Teams has a Status, these are as follows:

  • Inactive – The User has all the required licenses in Microsoft Teams and can be configured to use Callroute
  • Active – The User has all the required licenses in Microsoft Teams and is configured to use Callroute
  • Unavailable – The User does not have a Microsoft Phone system license and cannot be configured to use Callroute. You must purchase and assign a Microsoft Phone System license for this user – more information
  • Disabled – The User account is disabled in Microsoft 365 (sign-in is blocked), or does not have a Microsoft Teams license and cannot be configured to use Callroute. A user that is Disabled in Microsoft 365 cannot sign in and cannot be activated to use Teams. You must enable the User, purchase and assign a Microsoft Phone System license for this user – more information.
