We’re excited to announce the launch of our latest feature, Security Groups for Microsoft Teams, designed to make Microsoft Teams Phone management simpler and smarter!
Security Groups is an Orto feature that allows local IT teams to delegate the management of user assignments, numbers, and policies within their own region or department, while keeping compliance and governance fully centralized.
Key benefits of Security Groups:
- Regional delegation: limit admin access to specific users and phone numbers.
- Attribute-based assignment: use Microsoft 365 groups or Entra ID data for automatic membership.
- Faster operations: empower local admins to complete tasks more quickly.
- Improved compliance: prevent admins from modifying settings outside their assigned scope.
This feature has been asked for by our customers, and is suitable for a range of businesses including:
- Multi-national enterprises needing decentralized user management
- Public sector organizations with strict access and compliance requirements
- Businesses with multiple Teams tenants or regional support structures
